Given the serious nature of some of the injuries over the weekend, and that it appeared to me that none of them were related to straight-lining (or over aggressive attacking in turns 1 & 3), is it time to drop the egos and recognise that the real issue is excessive speed, and slow these machines down before we lose this amazing spectacle completely? I for one hate to see drivers suffering needless injuries and hope something more is done to prevent it in the very near future. Before replying just remember that teams racing was just as popular, if not more so, 25 years ago as it is today, and arguably contained more action right across the track. So those that say slowing these cars down will detract from the spectacle are in my opinion dreaming.
I hope Stieny, Lala, Simon and all others have a speedy and full recovery.
