Best Presented teams: Mustangos - the white looked very clean in a sea of black teams
Best Driver: Scott Miers - found his form of old
Most Improved Driver: Shaun Pearson - Prob the best I have ever seen him go
Teams that exceeded expectations: only a group win by CHCH would have surprised me so I'll pass on this
Teams that did not exceed expectations: Stratford - giving the oppo an extra car in both races wasn't a smart move
Hard Luck Team: Rotorua - I guess at a push, the reason night two was so much better than night one was most teams got what they deserved, tactics wise, on night one
Biggest Hit: the Pommy fella misjudging the hit on Hemi
Was sitting with some other elegant gentlemen in front of the half empty bleacher stands at the Pascal St end of the front straight

Best Presented teams: Warriors - being involved in the marketing, sponsorship, apparel and social media for the team, how could I say otherwise?
Best Driver: Peter Bengston - his two drives on Saturday night (when it counted) were as good as you'll ever see, and it's little wonder he rates so highly as a teams racer.
Most Improved Driver: Kyle Heibner - winning the Spike Richardson Trophy two years running is an achievement in itself, and he wins by a whisker from Shaum Pearson who drove brilliantly on the first night.
Teams that exceeded expectations: Baypark Brawlers, Wellington Wildcats - the Brawlers, a team thrown together from racers far and wide came together really well. And the Wildcats last-lap win over Rotorua was a tribute to hanging in there, even when the odds seem stacked against you.
Teams that did not exceed expectations: Stratford Scrappers, Nelson Tigers - to see both these sides racing the consolation races on Saturday night was sad, but both teams were tactically poor on Friday night.
Hard Luck Team: Rotorua - having two drivers end up in hospital is never a good thing.
Biggest Hit: Lance Ashton on Kerry Podjursky - when the Tank Commander says "That was the hardest whack I've felt in 25 years!", then whom am I to question it?
Was sitting in reserved seats on the exit to Turn Four, with Ramjam, my English mate Shayne who flies back to Blighty today and his father Alan. Have a great flight lads, and I look forward to my visit to Coventry on 1st August to see the Brisca F1's with my own eyes.
Footnote: I will predict now that within five years, the Teams Champs will be a ticket-only affair, with the stadium fully reserved and pre-sold. Being closely involved with one of the teams, it was great to be able to dash up from the team's pits to my seat in time for the Grand Parade, and the knowledge that a reserved seat was there with my name on it was well worth the extra $10 paid for the privilege.

Rammers was on his very best behaviour, and when I left Shayne at the close of racing on Saturday night, he had a silly ear-to-ear grin; I think he enjoyed his second visit to Teams Champs, and he's already planning his third. And there was no langauge barrier whatsoever
