I still think there could be more red lights to help the drivers stop as still alot of creeping going on, i reckon Te Marua still has the best idea with all the strip lights as you cant miss them.

I dont think there needs to be MORE red lights, but more penalties for drivers creeping, and sneaking, and even taking too long to slow down. The evidence is clear to see on video replays, and even from the incar cameras which ride onboard with the drivers.
If there is a rule that is in the rulebook, then it needs to be enforced - it's about time some of these regular offenders started getting slapped with a nice fine as has started happening with the straightline rule. Im not sure why more enforcement doesnt happen, but its about time these drivers are penalised for breaking the rules.

There could be red lights every 10cm around the entire wall, and it wouldn't hlep some of them. The fact they are slowing means they can certainly see them.

It has been happening for years. There does not appear to be consistency on the red lights, cars creeping and stopping Some cars are put back to perceived race position and others are not . I would not waste time moving them back just exclude them from final race placings. No need for a light on dash

Lights work fine, you see them or the other drivers pull up... Can't all hit the brakes or get out of the gas in a fully wound up car at the same time safely.. You look left and right and all basically put the brakes on at the same time.. System works

No need for a light on dash So the drivers that have no brakes (I heard of at least 5) and take longer to stop should be excluded in your mind? I think the status-quo is just fine. The reality is when I perceive my team is put back to far it's a terrible, but when it's their opposition it's just fine.

The reality is when I perceive my team is put back to far it's a terrible, but when it's their opposition it's just fine. Well if those drivers had no brakes, what were they doing on the track then? There are repeat offenders on red light situations, and you can work out who they are after a few race meetings, or watch a few incar videos on YouTube, but very little appears to be done about it. I think the status quo is not fine, teams racing has become extremely close over the last decade, and a few metres under that red light, then a few metres under another all adds up, and then the offending driver has a complete and illegal advantage on the opposition - that difference can determine the outcome of the race. Its 2015 not 1915 - weve allowed the technology in the cars to progress (including the brake systems) now lets catch up with rulebook and make the playing field even.

I would not waste time moving them back just exclude them from final race placings. No need for a light on dash So you would be happy that a driver who is no longer in the race, because they are going to be excluded, can still have a major effect on that race? Something wrong with that logic to me.

Something wrong with that logic to me. If the driver is that concerned that their exclusion will have a major effect on the race, then I offer two tips - 1) Once stopped for a red light, put your vehicle's gearbox into the neutral position. 2) Place foot on the brake until the green light is illuminated :-)
