John fletcher (Geoff fletcher's Dad) died on Tuesday. A long time racer in his own right and dedicated supporter of his son's racing he will be greatly missed

Condolences to Geoff and family. Some of us oldies will still remember John and Geoff both racing Saloons back in the day. For me it was their visits to Waikaraka Park that are everlasting highlights.

Yes a sad loss indeed, I raced with John & Geoff at Waikaraka Park & had many a good time after the meeting finished.

Gave life a good crack, got stuck in and got plenty done, solid effort John... I saw John at the top of his racing game - Forest Lake, the Old Bay Park - real fierce competitor on and off the track, good bastard... glad to have known him
