The mullets drove a lot better than I expected & definitely had the young guns measure from early on. Very mature drive from the future pumas The Young Guns certainly miss P Gaskin ,H Parker The young fellas in the team tried their hearts out ,After Dale stuffed his car early in both racers Then K Levein expired his car putting his body on the line Was time for R Gaskin to stand up ,and do some blocking etc But my opinion has been rather dissapointing in recent years in teams racing , Mullets definatly showed how to teams race with every one doing their job

From where I was sitting on turn 3, Richie was doing some great blocking - not something I'm used to seeing him do (I normally see him at the pointy end of the field, running for the team rather than blocking) so it was a very pleasant surprise. This is not me diminishing the Mullets' effort, they did very well on debut .. but calling someone 'disappointing' isn't a fair call to make. Are you also forgetting that this is the 3rd teams event in as many weeks? Yes, I realise that there was a gap between the Rotorua champs and these ones, but still, not a lot of respite for these guys. I'm proud of each of the drivers who fronted for both events, cos everyone knows Teams racing takes it out of both machinery and driver.
