Having just got around to reading the teams racing rules again it could be this race was run under the teams racing rules. I'd love to know which team the non-team drivers were in like 42a Bernie Fox and 15r Stevie P!! Think Blair Neal would have been driving Stevie P 15R car as Steve has a broken hand & he told me last week that Blair would run the car until sold as Steve is giving up Super Stocks.

Cheers Roger , I remember the commentators saying that now. Sorry to hear Steve is flagging it away. Certainly it's a class that's served him up more than a few problems over the years.

Yes Steve has had his ups & downs, more downs than ups unfortunately. He is trying to talk me into getting him a ride in a Sprintcar or Super Saloon, I have news for him & it is all bad.

Just clarified with Rod the Ref that the final all in race was an open race and not a teams race. The Rees hit on 79p was deemed ok (as I suspected) because it was off the start and the cars weren't up to speed. No high speed winding off or anything of that nature involved.
Rod was saying he had few issues with any of the teams racing over the weekend. The drivers were all good and it was a meeting that was a pleasure to officiate at.

And a Naki driver was in the Bernie Fox car too from memory. Barry B there is a school of people here in taranaki that scorn the word naki therefore a driver from the stratford club would represent the naki(S)

Agree , it was a good meeting with very few issues . The commentator did mention one of the Mustangs passing on the grass in one teams race . But that was about it .. The best team of the weekend deserved to win as they were that little bit more polished than the rest .. Good stuff Nelson Tigers..
