Grant passed away this morning after a long battle with cancer. Any day is a sad day when we loose one of our speedway community and long time member/moderator of this board. I will remember Grant mostly as an absolutely staunch Super Saloon fanatic who lived and breathed the class and not just from the sidelines, he got involved. His later years spend as part of the Ben Harding team. The best memory is knowing he totally loved where the Super Saloon class is at now and that he got to be part of it. I'm going to miss the occasional phone calls and robust discussion though. Condolences to Grant's wife and family

Condolences to Grant's wife and family Can remember meeting Grant at Scrutineering for a NZ Champs at Ellerslie Racecourse for the first time although knowledge of his legend had preceded that. Over the years I can say a friendship was built.Sad to see you go Grant . Petrolfumes

Life, sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, losses just rip your heart out sometimes, and this is one of those times! .....

This is indeed a sad loss to speedway, the Super Saloon class and macgor's. I know how the family is feeling right now, and it's always good to know a loved one is suffering no longer how ever small a consolation that is. RIP Grant, and strength to those he's left behind.
