20 year old Bradley Wilson Dean has shot to the top of the National Averages in his debut season racing for the Eastbourne Eagles National League team. Not only has he gone to number 1 for Eastbourne but he currently is the number 1 rider in the entire league. Wilson Dean has already won the Championship of Sussex with an unbeaten score and rode to 5th place against much stronger competition in the Glasgow open. NZ has not had a successful rider in the UK for a number of years and this boy is making headlines up and down the Country. You can follow his progress on faceBook at Bradley Wilson Dean racing. I hope SNZ are taking notice of this lad as he is a staunch Kiwi who fly's the flag colours whenever possible

Saw he got invited to take part in the qualifying for the SGP next season but turned down the invite. Any idea why?

He was only told at the last minute Parrot despite SNZ apparently knowing since end of last year?. It would also have cost Brad about 2000 pounds in travel and sorting some engines for it so he decided to concentrate on the league where he earns his living. Next year providing he has ample notice will be different.

For those of us who are highly uneducated when it comes to British Speedway Racing what level are the Eagles at?
Are they a 3rd tier team?

National League in Britain is effectively 3rd Division Percy, tho still a fairly decent standard. Worth noting that Eastbourne were an Elite League team,( 1st Division....top Brits and some of SGP riders etc), when they first wanted to sign the young fella up. Apparently being headhunted by a few Premier League teams (Div 2), but has committed to Eastbourne for now. Guy is a real talent for sure, just hope he hasn't left things too late age wise, coz there's a whole heap of talented youngsters riding at higher levels throughout Europe. Still, best natural talent NZ has had in many years,...just have to see him ride to know that.
