At the risk of bringing them all out. I am surprised at the muted response from the anti palmy brigade.Looking forward to seeing Meanee benefit from this development

I think Gizzy is getting the most benefit from Palmy at the moment

Think that may change now.
Gizzy and HB used to work together, and run alternate weeks. In saying that HB went to Gizzy more than Gizzy went to HB. ( possibly with streetstock exceptions)
It will be interesting to see if HB registered cars travel south rather than north.
Is this a way of Bruce nullifying the Rees exodus?
Man it must be the off season.

Given the promoters one would ask you to name one driver from last season who will be registering to another track. Come labour weekend I would suspect you have none.
What is a real possibility is seeing a number of hb cars with p on the side registering back to the bay.
Particularly given the forecast wars between hb, g, and especiLly pn drivers. One wonders wether the balance has swung the hb and G way given the change in registration and Motivation?
Those p registered drivers might be well advised to move back to hb if they have aspirations of nz titles. Or even those p drivers with aspirations of nz titles might be advised to have b or g on the door....
,Ames the nz superstock title very interesting this season regardless!

Lets hope that this PN based promoter does a better job than the last PN based one did.

Yes im sure now that Peter Rees has had his 1NZ in the Superstock he will be happy to help or end other peoples chances. There will be some scores to settle and hopefully some great inter track battles.

So far they haven't done a lot at Waikaraka Park , Palmy will be their main focus .... Highrevz Waikaraka was in debt as a club when Bruce and Puk took over and now thanks to their Promotion that has been addressed. IMO that alone is a massive success. Robertson Holden International Speedway is their flagship venue so of course it is the main focus of the Promoting team but them coming on board at Meeanee is a massive step forward for HB. Don't be negative for the sake of it

Think back to the last Teams Nationals meeting.Nobody knew right up until the last couple of days what was on the programme . Travelling fans like to be kept in the know well in advance so they can make plans , its not a case of taking a gamble these days as travel is darn expensive . And no im not being negative for the sake of it , those are true facts ..

Don't be negative for the sake of it Waikaraka is still {apparently - reffering to a rumour thats probably and hopefully wrong} in debt, several drivers are pissed off and feel alienated from the club and the "growth" was brought on by the new promoter going back on his word that it would promote only currently contracted classes for its first two years. in year one he had already broken that by introducing sixshooters despite his promise to the currently contracted members of the time. - I was at the meeting where he made that promise. hoping they have a better run as a team at Meanee, I would be surprised if things dont improve at all three if only slightly as the focus will be palmy.

I think I can safely say that if the current promotion hadn't stepped up there was a strong possibility that Waikaraka would be no longer running. Its alright trying to run all local classes but what happens when there isn't enough of them or they don't commit in numbers to turning up or they want to race at a special event elsewhere. Reality hits home and gaps need to be filled. And no I'm not defending six shooters as a class.

whatever else happens, one thing I am hopeing for, that the meetings at meanee will be tightly run affairs. the worst thing for me has been going there and watching the longest, most drawn out speedway meetings ever. I think I visibly aged at some meanee meetings and not with dust!
