just a thought to be proactive rather than negitive in regards to our volinteers (nuts spelling }how about at each club around the country that the ppl that will upgrade to two layer suits as oposed to the underwear donate there single layer suits to there clubs then make infeild staff wear these at least it would give them some form of fire protection at no cost to the clubs there ya go peeps blaze away at that idea

Anyone know why mini stock competitors can't sign up on line? Surprised parents are getting caught out and forced to waste big bucks on day licences!

So to get this straight, you arrived at a track with drivers who had no licence, a track you weren't planning on contacting (buying licences from) to, then complain that KK couldn't contract you to Huntly, which is what your doing when you buy your SNZ licence ? If I have this straight I don't see your problem, as mentioned SNZ can't online licence (do a contract) with minors. You should have arranged licences with your home tack before arriving out of town to practice.

Murray when are you ever going to be happy
Mike, you are quite correct to be frustrated. The Track is irrelevant in regards the payment of SNZ Licence fees. You pay the SNZ fees to SNZ officials (who are NOT the track promotion or club) and frankly SNZ should apologise and refund your day licences paid.
'Stdstock', When am I going to be happy? When I decide I've had enough of the BS and abuse, along with those who clearly don't give a darn about the sport of speedway and it's future.... .... which was a few weeks back! Now we're all happy! Great eh! Apart from the FACT that you are killing it for my grandkids!

Murray read the top of a license agreement it is an agreement with promoter and competitor therefore must have the signature of the promotion of the track the driver is contracting too the competitor and speedway n.z steward . So it is relevant that the competitor must have the signature of his tracks promotion on the agreement.

While I agree with the op on the expense, I also agree with other comments like buy the best you can afford. My question is, and I feel the OP knows the answer, what's the most dangerous part of speedway?
My answer is getting to the track and home again.

My boys while in ministocks had proper race boots, balaclavas and were not allowed to wear nylon underwear. We used Leatt neck braces and side nets. Only takes one mistake and they would live with my decision. Buy the best that you can afford, otherwise watch from the stands. Can someone tell me are these allowed to be used still in speedway?
