Hi Team, I had considered rehashing older threads I have created previously however decided on a fresh approach. I am updating the spreadsheet I keep and have a few questions. I will start with Waikaraka Park. 7A - What chassis does Mike run and what year was it built? 11A - What chassis does Lynn run and what year was it built? 24A - Has the old Hardmac chassis been scrapped or onsold? 36A - What chassis does Mike run and what year was it built? 55A - What chassis does Geoff run and what year was it built? 58A - What year was this LRC built? 99A - What year was this Hypermac chassis built? I know the general history but have never been able to establish when it was first built.
Only another 9 odd tracks to go:)

7A- Kevin Moore Chassis. Originally built for Pat McGrath. Around 20 years ago ? 11A- Cyclone Chassis. Think there was 3 built ? 10 years ago or so. 24A ? 36A ? Think was one of Lawrie Potts old saloons from a way back. 55A: Skinny Built. Age ? 58A: ? Emersons first LRC chassis wasn't it. 5 - 6 years old ? 99A: Not sure , was one that Ben Harding had. Think he was helping Shane Mcintyre building them at one stage when he was still in TGA. 3 - 4 years ago.

A few more gaps I need filled:) I will post my questions for Baypark and Woodford Glen registered cars in a separate thread due to the large number of cars.
21H - What year was this Harris chassis built? 46H - What year was this Carey chassis built? And what year did Cody acquire the car?
5B - What year was this Flynn chassis built? 12B - What year was this Halcrow chassis built? And what year did Peter acquire the car?
34W - What chassis is this and what year was it built? 63W - What year was this Hypermac built?
12N - What year was this Carey chassis built?
8T - What year was this Moore chassis built? 19T - What chassis is this and what year was it built? 77T - What year was this Verdoner chassis built?
13I - What year was this Verdoner chassis built?
I believe the current 26T is headed to Invercargill for Mike Dixon to run - what number will race with?
Cheers Anthony

Current 24a is the original hardmac that ben built with shane - serious updates since then though - the 99a was the hypermac that ben had built but ended up not using.
46h is now a hypermac as well - not sure of year. its the one ian burson originally drove - not sure where Codys old Carey chassis got to.

I thought 24A was a brand new chassis last season? I am aware of the basic history of 99A but want to know what year Ben built the thing. Are you implying that Cody is now the owner of the current 3NZ Hypermac? Anthony

Anthony 24a had a serious rebuild but as far as im aware - could be wrong - its still the old dinosaur, Nige Mouats 63a was built by Ben. Codys car that he raced last season is the ex Ian burson car. now up for sale, not sure if its the one Ian got 3nz in but its an early hypermac.

46H is definitely a Carey car. It was the one Burson raced when he first moved to Super Saloons.
Last time I saw 34W racing it was the ex 5W Halcrow of Brian McPhee, but he may have changed cars since then.

Would be 99.9% sure Cody Hata's car is still the Ex Burson Carey-built car, not a Hypermac. And 100% sure that Ben Harding's car from last season was a brand new Harding Motorsport built machine, the second built after 63a. Let's do it on the terracotta, Barry B

99A is an 011 Hypermac chassis. Sister chassis to Mark Osbournes. Purchased in 012 from Harding Motorsport. Ben was going to use this chassis but had just done major work on the HardMac chassis. Ben now going into 2nd season with No2 Harding Motorsport chassis, No1 being Nige's 63A. 99A chassis spent aprox 12mths in Redline Engineering workshop , as time and budget allowed build to proceed. The car came out just in time for the 13/14 nationals at WP. Mechanical woes plagued this meeting. After complete engine rebuild, came out for final meeting of 14/15 season at WP. In Ht1 broke track record which was then broken by Ben in same Ht. Getting updates done to rear end before start of 15/16 season. Depending on budget may compete in Burger King series this season. Looking over chassis in Harding Motorsport workshop before purchase. In Redline Workshop Complete and rearing to Go. In action

46H - What year was this Carey chassis built? And what year did Cody acquire the car? Was built in 2000. Ian bought it in 2006 and contested the NZ champs in Gisborne in it. Cody purchased it at the begininging of the 2011/12 season. His first NZ Champs in it was in Nelson that year. 12N - What year was this Carey chassis built? This car was built in 2006. Shane started the season in the car burs bought which is now the Cody Haata car but took this current car to the NZ Champs in Tauranga. Has had a few modifications since then

Hi Team, I have replied to all the above in this one post:) Rhodesta, despite the dodgy info, I appreciate that you took the time to reply sauber and chris13w, the 34W I was referring to was the Clifton RX7 which used to run as 34P. I was wanting to know the chassis and year of build for this car. Karen, thanks so much for your reply, this fills in all the gaps for me. My folks say Hello You were talking to them at a pub up North a couple of months ago. nakifans, AWESOME! Can you give a history for every Super Saloon to that level of detail? Your reply fills in all the gaps for Maccas` car. Thank you. Wade, I am OK with the new 96A however can you give me the year of initial build for 48A and the year your Dad acquired the car? Barry B, thanks for confirming the status with 24A, appreciated. Thanks to everyone as I appreciate the replies. Anthony

So if you mean 34P, why would you think it was the ex 5W?... 34P is still 34P as far as I know, Rod hasn't contracted it to Wellington. Its a Gordge chassis from a long time back (as a Cosmo) in fact saw it in a video from 2001 the other night, didn't even think it was that old though! (Martin Halcrow did shorten it down into an RX7 a few seasons ago, but its definitely nothing to do with 5W/34W).

I never suggested it was ex 5W, that was sauber, not me. And I referred to it as 34W because that is what Wellington Speedways` website currently has Troy Clifton listed as.

Anthony Oh I hadn't noticed that before. Troy Clifton races a Stockcar out of Wellington, but the Super saloon is 31P and raced by Rod Clifton. Also just filling one of the other gaps the 36A Super is the ex 4A Beckett Camaro (which Lawrie Potts owned for a while as previously mentioned).

I believe the current 26T is headed to Invercargill for Mike Dixon to run - what number will race with? The 26T car will be raced by 25I Kerry Dixon, who previously raced the ex Richie Taylor Gordge. So the Dixon team now have three supers (the other being the 95I Lovelady).

The Gordge car was built for / by Blondie for the 2001-2002 Season where he came out and blew everyone away in Christchurch for his 4th NZ title. I believe the car was owned by Nigel at Sovereign Freight. Nigel still had it when lance stated driving it,eventually buying it off him in 2005 (I believe). The car ran in its original configuration until 2013 when Lance rebuilt the front end.
