Well both teams have been named:
Hawkeyes: 16B Steve Jude 41B Jason Long 46B Quin Ryan 84B Mike Mac 87B Thomas Stanaway
Wildcats: 89W Dale Robertson 22W Richard Gaskin 52W Paul Fairbrother 321W Hilton Parker
Just one question, when was the last time the wildcats raced away from Te Marua other than at Palmy or Auckland?
Great to see all these early season teams races taking place though.
Also what car is Hilton Parker 321w racing?

Parker is racing his Superstock.
wildcats raced Nelson home and away a few years ago.
strong teams - robertson, gaskin and parker proven stockcar teams hitters and winners. how will they step up? robertson and fairbrother raced before. 52w 89w shown plenty of speed so far this season. HB already raced so should be a good race.

Hilton has the ex-23s Gorge.
Two well matched teams in my view, looking forward to making the trip to the Bay to see the Wildcats have a bird for supper.

I'm assuming Hilton Parker will play blocker for the wildcats, Mike Mac for the Hawkeyes if he gets a run. Hopefully the race will be a damage fest

Hilton has been a runner in Stockcar teams plenty of times, Mike Mac a few times as well. Expecting the unexpected is often the order of the day in teams.
I hope both teams don't have too much damage as we are looking forward to the re-match on the 28th at Te Marua.

i remember a team race in palmy '12 was the year. semi final maulers vs pumas. regan was sitting out for the maulers. palmy were winning. ironmerger in second. mike mac 3rd. ironmerger was catching and closing in on the plamy car. then mike macs wheel grate came off. he was sent in the infield. we lost the race. and worse we were in the 5th and 6th run off. that was bull as we were the second best team there on the night. regan was 3nz at the time to. so he can run. he just reads a race and knows what to do.

Hawkeyes were deserved winners of a closely fought teams race. Jason Long held the early lead until he was effectively blocked by Paul Fairbrother, Dale Robertson took the lead and it was looking good for the Wildcats; until an equally effective block dropped him back down the field allowing the Hawkeyes to take 1st and 2nd. Looking forward to the re-match next week at Te Marua. The Burger King Supersaloon series produced some moments of brilliant racing. The pole shuffle saw 99a move up a number of places with hard clean racing. The to points leaders after the heats 16m and 9w where able to keep grids 1 and 2 for the feature. 27m crashed with a barrel roll ending on his roof. This started a string of DNF's including the two points leaders from round 1, Ben Harding and Mark Pitcher. Mark Osborne won the feature ahead of Grant Flynn and Terry Corin, who passed a number of cars late in the race to make the podium.

how many laps was 22 held to the wall? you could be right. though 41 was only one lap down. or one and and half. that was only off the top of my head. not offical.
