i thought the flag was shown to 89w. An old school race where tactics were to the fore rather than outright pace and big hits. Jude was leading with a few laps to go but one of his team mates mis identified him as a Wgtn car and took him to the wall. Both teams in black.. 89w gassed it around the outside of a couple of attempts of the bay cars to stop him. I think both teams will benefit from the experience of having a few teams races under their belts. The teams champs at Palmy is a completely different kettle of fish with drivers showing a lot more motivation to put their cars and bodies on the line at the 'big show'. fair brother blocked jude out of the lead. cooke nailed jude. so the end not how it happened. just the crunch. should settle the hawke eyes for palmy. i hope stannaway doesn't make the team. harsh i know. but needs to work on reading a race better. ideal hawkeyes would be 16, 9,84 with 52,41,46 feel sorry for who out of those three miss out. as all three have been impressive. but that depends one cars and drivers.

Very hard to learn how to read teams races if you aren't involved in them. Very few drivers have a natural knack for it, most of the best have learnt their trade through experience in the arena. Stanaway is a young, fast and obviously keen driver, give him some time to adjust before writing him off. The Hawkeyes are blessed at the moment with more willing drivers than they have had for a long time, and a lot of them are relatively young and new to the game. I just hope the environment is good enough to retain the interest of those who will be unlucky come selection time. Can't help but hope we will see a couple of "probable" V "possible" races prior to Palmy, this would be great for both spectators and drivers. Go the Hawkeyes!!

The big classes put their hands up at Temarua last night, the Supersaloons and Superstocks were great. We thoroughly enjoyed the meeting even the food was good. I must say though the stockcars numbers are abit thin so whats happened to them cheers.

I'm assuming you're basing your picks off previous years?
