Hope the weather in the capital is race friendly. 24A and 99A left Ak last night, so hope their trip is not let down by the weather. Still dodgy weather in the upper north, and another thread has Huntly and Rotorua's meetings canned. Led to believe from the beating drums several drivers from RD2 have had points deducted from that round due to driving infringements of varying sorts. Hope the spectacle of the BK series puts on a fast, clean and entertaining night of racing and all go home happy.

Absolutely stunning day in Wellington, which is a complete contrast to yesterday.
The Wellington round of the BK is my only Super Saloon fix each season, so very much looking forward to it!

The guys standing on the podium were Harding 1st, Osbourne 2nd and Pitcher 3rd. Osbourne won the pole shuffle. Great racing Harding started on grid 5 after stared out in the 7th/8th position in the pole shuffle and won against Commerford for 4th, but was deemed to have jumped the start from the inside position. In the feature he passed Osbourne on the outside, making it look easy, even though Osbourne was flying. The series is a real credit to the racers and sponsors alike. Great meeting with good support programme with superstock team race, stockcars and wgtn ministock champs, along with superstock races with 16 cars. The long awaited return to the track for superstock 54w Mike Pye in his new car for races 2 and 3. Looked and sounded awesome.
Jude was leading teams but one of his team mates mis identified him as a Wgtn car and took him to the wall. Both teams in black..

The racing last night was pretty hard to fault. As well as Harding v Osbourne I also enjoyed the scrap for 4th between Grant Flynn and Bryan Comerford in the final. The pace of a couple of the Auckland cars surprised me. 63A Nige Mouat is very racy now, a big jump up in raw speed with the Hardmac. While 99A Shane McInteer is doing incredibly well for a new addition to the series.
On a slightly different note , the smoke from the 5W Josh Prentice Stockcar looked expensive in heat two, anyone know if the car is all okay?
