Hi Everyone,
My Name is Aaron Drever and i have been brought up with Speedway all my life. I have raced quarter midgets, speedcars(midgets) in Queensland, and now own 2 mini-sprints. I have a passion for motorsport and love all forms of speedway. I have recently started working with one of the great commentators in an urge to become an announcer of motorsport events. Outside of speedway i am a successful estate agent and auctioneer working out of the western suburbs of Auckland. Having excelled in my professional occupation i feel with the ongoing training from the likes of Mintie, that he should mold me into a great announcer of the sport. My Favorite Driver is still Graham Standring. He Rocks.

Righty oh then. My name is Tony, 44yrs in the body, and 21yrs in the head. Like most of you, been brought up with stockcars since knee high. Still remember the night Bruce Robertson brought his Tank out for the first time. Have to say, I've had a secret love affair with those beasts ever since. Racing to date has included 3 years mucking about with Streetstocks, (with absolutely nil success), and 1 year in a Stockcar. Bought the old Bryce Steiner "Stein-grenade", fixed up the steel work, threw a $250 "back yard special" motor into it, and had a ball. Have a brand new self built spacey in the shed at the moment. Was going to be a Stockcar, but after being ear bashed by a certain person called Bart, have decided to upgrade to Superstock. So... out came the diff and all that standard type stuff, and in goes all the go fast pretty stuff. "If you're listening Bart, THIS BETTER BE BLOODY WORTH IT!!!" So, we'll be back out next season. Till then, catch ya on the starters grid at Kihikihi Speedway.

Trevor Walsh. Been living in Papakura past 27yrs.
I got into stockcars in the late '60s through Dave Heasley (Wreckers) in Putaruru, mainly raced at Tokoroa and Rotorua. In those days car trailers were hard to come by, so we used a piece of chain through metal pipe hooked up to tow bar and bumper of stockcar. One day just past Lichfield got bored so fired stockcar up and pushed my mate Ron Hazelton along, no doubt he would have more stories. Went to Forest Lake regularly, sat up in and a round blackberries had a good reason to sit there breast-strokers row. That reminds me Fantail is my wife.
About '96 got back into stockcars through friend Dave Legae. He's the one who nicknamed me woodbutcher (chippie). Got the urge to buy one and bought Steiny's old car off 169a Des Longden? It became a family thing all involved somewhere. Liked the number 171 and registered at Waikaraka. I have been rolled and definitely saw stars that night. '98 accidently cut my left arm badly so couldn't race, son (Howdy/Jason) took over aged 15yrs and he's been in seat ever since.

Hi all, Shane Bessant, age 43, Carpenter, father of 2, Happily married, based on the North Shore in Auckland, I am passionate about Speedway. most of the previous posts on here were under Old School. Stealth Will be the new heading of the revamped race team to arrive at some stage this year. We will be working on a Web Page over the next few months. I raced a Stockcar for 8 or 9 years out of Waikaraka Park, spectator for a few years prior to that. A year on the ASSCC Committee prior to the upheaval. I pulled the pin on the racing in 2001 due to wrist injury & other commitments rebuilt the car and sold the old flat chassis to Luke Sykes. I now have Steve Pribs first NRP Superstock (Chassis Only) sitting in my garage & am in the process of trying to put together a Stockcar.

Howdy, My name is Colin I have been around Stockcars on and off for some time. I first saw stockcars at Forrest Lake and saw Kevin Free there. Remember watching the likes of Gary and Bruce Harris, Ray Wright, Ron Willoughby etc at Waikaraka. I crewed for Gary Ellis about 10 years ago for a season when he raced at Huntly. I currently help out with K T Racing and the Stockcar 5K and Superstock 5A of Brad Ridland. Have met a lot of people all around the North Island over the last few months and have had a great time and find that there seems to always be someone somewhere willing to help or just have a drink and a yarn

Hi , I'm Clive Pedersen. My family took me to Waikaraka Park when I was very young so got my first taste of Stockcars in the late 60's early 70's. Shared a drive in a car in the 80's which was Lyall Rumneys (72R) VW bodied car . That car was sold so I crewed for 44A Stephen Richards for several years then bought a std stock which was Lee Drummonds ( 14S ) first pipe car. Sold that in mid nineties ( it's still in AK). Bought Philip Webbs 12P copy of Ian Easton's coupe which was last raced by Frank Irvine a couple of years ago and hope to be ready for next season.

Grant here, recently raced stockcar32a and superstock 132a( for a short and expensive while). Have been around stockcars and speedway since 1972. Have raced stockcars, saloons,TQ's, Midgets, sprintcars both here and in Australia. Am now 50 years old. Spent one season on the committee of ASSCC before ending that association under clouds of suspicion that eventuated in nothing. Have been away from the track for 2 seasons now and will be returning next season with a brand new stockcar and new superstock, both currently being built. really looking forward to getting out and stirring it up again and having fun on the track. ;D ;D ;D

Hi All;Started racing in 1987 in production saloons(EH holden)did 3 practices and wrote it off!!Got given a stockcar for $20 and been racing ever since. Had a year off in1991 and retired in 2005(missed 2 meetings!!) Have never ever missed a single meeting in Gizzyin all that time(unless we been stood down of course) Best car I have had to date I bought in 1991-a steampipe from stratford which I finnally retired last season(currently rebuilding to sell) have done 38 team races, won gisborne points 5x and intend to race for at least another 10 yrs yet(health be willing) Have served on Gizzy committee twice over a 3 yr period and over the years have been responsible for untold new drivers/cars coming to Gizzy(which is why I get a bit frustrated when told I dont appreciate what I got and I should do more!!) Intend to put effort where my mouth is and go for committee once again to right what I think is wrong.
