Are the public allowed to claim seating by laying tarps down? Seating on the grass area, are deck chairs allowed in these areas?

There's strong rumours around that both Brendan and Ron Tye are now contracted to Wanganui, meaning if true a Vulcans team of them, Mooney,Potaka,Humphrey and Lockett would have a strong chance of bringing the title to Oceanview next season.

I would wonder if Framces will be in the team after the pummelling he took, last weekend in the super? But yes that would be a very strong team.
The Stratford line up is pretty strong - they will be one to,watch.

Hadn't Ron retired from teams racing? But yes both V cars now from what understand.

Seem to recall Ron retiring from teams racing a few years ago but he's still done a fair few teams races since. Makes you wonder what's happening in the Palmerston North area, the class and club/racing have slipped back alot since the Rees's left.

Sounds like there is a lot of "if he races then i arent racing" in palmy these days, too many people wanting to be chiefs and not enough people willing to be indians perhaps. Am sure the Pumas will front with a strong team, especially if their top remaining cars are keen.

It's a shame when things like this eventuate but just a few years ago the Palmerston North stockcar class was so strong they could have close to 6 teams that would've been capable to win anything. There wasn't just the Pumas but the Hasbeens, Mullets, Steelers, U23 team, Cowboys etc. and at least 40 cars per night in the stockcar fields and action galore. Now it seems a struggle to get more than 20 cars to normal race nights and it all seems to have deteriorated over the last 12 months.

Interesting thoughts there..a lot of people said the Rees moving would have no affect. Within 12 months Palmy has lost both contact class 1NZs and the team's title.

Are we crediting this fully to the rees or is it maybe a case of the bubble finally bursting? its been so good for so long in palmy it had to come to an end eventually. only a small handful of drivers have actually gone elsewhere to register.

Getting a bit off topic but maybe a season with no silverware is not a bad thing for palmy. Stops the grizzles from the anti p brigade but also spells out to some that just because you have the letter on the side of your car you don't have a god given right to win. Some will have to get rid of the complacency and start working with track mates to get back on the podium.

Is there going to be a stream of this event. Question has been asked numerous times and no answer, Come on Gizzy club, As stated before ... Streaming of this event is "Likely" ... BUT wont be a FULL Production. Meaning it will be 1 camera and relying on the local commentator ... The pricing will reflect this. The ALL IMPORTANT internet connection will be tested over the next couple of weeks where everyone will be invited to view the Camera placement, and to test your connections as well. THIS WILL BE FREE .... Only then will a decision be made if it goes "Live". Once all this is in place and you choose to then pay for the event, you wont be able to fill this board up with 15 pages of complaints. :-) BECAUSE all but everything would have been done to make sure everything works ...

You're probably right pfloyd but from the meetings that I've attended at Palmerston North this season there has definitely been a lack of action in the stockcar class compared to other seasons. Jayden Ward is without doubt in a class of his own when he races, but in the past there has been any number of around 20+ cars who could win any race and most were the best in the country and with it came action amongst it. Palmy used to have so many options that the likes of Asher Rees and Zach Harris missed selection for the Pumas and ended up racing for Gisborne a few years ago at the teams champs. In the past season that talent seems to have disappeared and we know why some have left but now there seems to be a lot of others doing the same.
