I'm picking some "big names" wont even finish all three qualifying races.
One spin or even a flat means you wont be qualifying with only 4 from each group making it.

One stockcar driver I spoke to last weekend reckons that even making the Top 60 (top two tiers) will be an achievement. As Crewchief notes, one spin or a puncture in qualifying, and your championship ambitions could be out the window.
Whoever emerges from qualifying into the Top 30, then survives three bruising finals races to take the title will be a very, VERY deserving 1NZ.

What's the story with seating? Huntly can't fit that many in, is there any reserved seating or do you just have to turn up at 10 in the morning to guarantee a possy?

When they hosted the NZ Superstock Title a few years back there was no reserved seating and there were no drama's so I wouldn't expect there to be any problems for this event.

There was a post around somewhere from huntly, stating there was no reserved seating and no per sales - it was just going be first in first served. And, no i'm not going to be looking for it - i'll only get distracted by something shiny and forget all about it anyway. it was on FB so fill your boots.

I pick 2NZp to become 1NZp Did Mr Ward get bumped into the title entry did he? Haven't heard from the updated entry list myself, but yeah nah In My Humble Opinion I think that the best Stockcar driver from last season is in. I personally think that 1NZ, 2NZ, 3NZ should be automatically in to defend their rankings.

Ild have to agree to some extent, but then again I feel like it wouldn't be fair to other drivers as someone who missed out by 1 point the previous year could finish all three heats not qualify and the person who beat them by 1point could not finish any but the very last race of the meeting yet be in the top tier and in hand classed as a top 26 or what ever the field size is driver

If they want to defend their ranking, then they should be like everyone else and go through the complete process from Filling out entry forms through to qualifying and finals, just like the 177 others that enter. And if they defend it? Well done to them and would be thoroughly deserved. Just my opinion

I see there are no longer 30 in each group on the huntly site. Where is the waiting list?

From what i understand all those on the waiting list have been accepted due to people withdrawing and now down to around 175 entries due to withdrawls. Lucky for 2nz and co cause as far as im concered it should be same rules for everyone and everyone should fill out and PAY the same amount before close day to be guaranteed acceptance.
