Thanks for that. So what happens if some of the current GP rider make the podium of the GP challenge and also make the GP top eight?

If a current SGP rider qualifies for next year both ways, then his top 8 counts, so the next rider in line from the challenge qualifies. Many GP riders don't even enter the challenge series, some do ...as insurance. I'm assuming you know the GP field consists of Previous years Top 8, Top 3 from challenge final, and 4 organizer's wildcard picks.

So in theory if the top three in the Challenge are top eight GP riders forth to sixth in the Challenge will be the three to go through. Is there any criteria for the wildcards or is it just whom ever the organizers' fancy?

In theory yes, but it rarely, if ever, has happenned liked that. The permanent series wildcards are organisers fancy pretty much. Usually no.9 from previous year is offered one, then they probably take into account rider form, nationality, drawing power etc etc but yep Organisers choice...and the 16th rider being a locally chosen wildcard to make up the field for each GP. Series reserves...incase of injury etc, also come from the challenge...next in line type thing.E.g Kildermand in for Nicki P this year.

i'm sure Chris Harris wouldnt of made field for grand prix hadnt been for challenge series. and kasperzak who was regular in Gp opted for both. didnt need it when he finished world #2. behind Tai few years back.

Bartosz is my favourite rider...followed his career since he started at STal Gorzow, but whether it's pressure.or just trying too hard...not happenning yet at SGP level for him this year. Still time to turn it around i hope, coz he's too talented not to be there. Also thinking Freddie not out of it yet either, getting over the knee injury now. But how tough is Doyle? Not a big fan....but still..kudos to the guy. As for the upcoming World Cup, surely it's gotta be Poland...then daylight. Your main man certainly turned on the style in Sweden, brilliant ride in the final

I see Przemyslav Pawlicki (older bro of current GP rider Piotr), Artem Laguta and Patryk Dudek were Top 3 in the GP Challenge. With Dudek almost certain to qualify via a top 8 GP placing, it looks like 4th place getter Craig Cook will be a GP rider next year. Even this far out, the wildcard stuation for next year is pretty fascinating. Not known yet when Hancock, Nicki P will resume riding, Piotr Pawlicki broke his leg recently, and Grigory Laguta has an appeal pending concerning his ban. That's 4 right ther who could lay good claims for next season.

I would love to see Grigory Laguta get a regular start. What was the story with his drug test, was it an accidental banned pharmaceutical or had he been doing lines at a party with Antonio Lindback? Ohhh and speaking of Lindback, how good is he riding at the moment!

Agreed re Lindack, going great guns lately. Laguta apparently had the same drug in his system as Sharapova...maldonian...ha..bet thats the wrong name/spelling... but is appealing because he says he's got written medical evidence or some such. If he's guilty of the Russian doping thing we 're always hearing about, then I guess he's gotta cop what he gets. Personally hope he gets off. cause he's consistently one of, if not "the" best rider outside the GP's.

As a big fan of Zmarzlik, after 3 heats at Germany the question I'm asking is this... Is he available to play for the Warriors next NRL season?
Seriously tho I know he's only young but on his day he's brilliant. I am thinking he must be a little fragile upstairs tho yeah?

All the Poles had ..to varying degrees...indifferent nights aye. Dunno about mentally fragile (he's a tough little rooster) just think he's trying too hard, and it went spectaculary wrong last night. Probably come out and score a maximum or close to it, in the Extraliga semi final tonight/this morning. Couple of great meetings in store tonight...Zeilona Gora v Lezno (Lezno have a 10pt lead from 1st leg), then Stal Gorzow v Wcroclaw, who lead by 4.
Oh, if the Warriors need any speedway talent, the unfortunately named Michal Nowinski would be appopriate.

To be fair to all the riders, it looked like a tough night for most. I just hope Zmarzlik has enough points in the bank to hold on to his top 8 position. There is a fairly large gap I know but he wouldn't want a repeat of last night in any of the remaining rounds. Is there any ppv or pirate sites that have Polish or English league meets? I've checked cricfree & vipbox but couldn't find anything.

livelooker dot com , usually go for the telewijia links/feeds. Commentary is Polish of course. Decent quality, and not as dodgie as cricfree etc. Then of course...if ya can't manage live coz of the times, ...you might already know... the matches 9condensed version ) are on youtube within the day, courtesy speedway4all.
