It's not often the star of the night is a member of the team that scores the lowest points. However in my unbiased Auckland eyes the star of night one of the TWS Superstock Teams Nationals was Jamie Fergusson.
The only thing Fergusson didn't hit last night was the tow truck. He was a constant menace to anyone who dared entertained the possibility of a pass. Part of the skill of being a blocker is to keep your car going and from memory Fergusson made it deep into both races last night.
You feel sorry for his crew with the punishment that car takes but heck it's entertaining for the fans!

Again you're spot on Percy. Ferguson was outstanding in a well beaten Allstars team who weren't helped in either race with the loss of a car early (Chesnutt in race one and Marx in race two). Despite being out numbered Jamie continued to reel havoc. At one point against the Mustangs he had attracted the attention of three Mustangs heading into the back straight. Definitely a menance in the true sense of the word when it comes to stock car teams racing!!!

I was a part of the crew and the car sure was a sight for sore eyes at the end of the night...lol

Was it beyond repair for night 2?

From what I understand YES as sadly Jamie didn't race on night two. I think Allstars manager Dave Tennant confirmed this is a post race interview after the last Allstars race. It was a real shame we didn't see him again...

We made the call at the end of night 1. If we had made it into the top 4 we would have pulled a all nighter if required but it as it was for 5th and 6th and we had 4 cars going we made the call to leave it in the bus
