really? The tracks theyve got are at least purpose built- Oreti, Moore Park and rosebank are awesome tracks..and to use the words of one rider "at last we dont have to worry about car people running and ruining our class"

Yes its exactly where solo bike racing is at in New Zealand right now. With small fields fronting it is not appealing to spectators or future riders in the class.Young people find it more attractive to own a Moto cross bike where you can compete at many events all around the country every weekend or go out after work and ride around river beds etc.I believe Moore Park is trying to start a class like flat trackers using modified Moto cross bikes.Hope it gets some interest out there.I think there would be a few other tracks that would be interested in fostering this class if it gets off the ground.

I don't know if Meanee still uses their track but it was tiny compared to the car track. Harrisville has been used at least once this season & really needs to get used by solos more often for any riders in the lower north island to be able to justify owning a bike It's unfortunate that big tyred cars demand & get such different track surfaces to bikes

Surely theres some common ground with track surface requirements possible so that bikes can compete at stockcar tracks?? im only wondering wtf happened...we used to have good racing at Te Marua back in the day..( many moons ago now) stocks and saloons and bikes ..every sat night... saw Ivan Mauger, Ronnie Moore and Barry Briggs there, local riders...some family names just never go away....solos would be an enormous addition to the saturday night speedway event at stockcar tracks... what are the differences in track requirements that stop bikes featuring?

Rosebank road is running this year as well, first practice next weekend, cant wait,
