Surely the palmy promotion team could pay the weather gods with the money they make from this event to ensure it’s fine.

Palmy is a booze fueled student city, so we couldn't find any this year, had to make other arrangements instead. But I'm not authorized to discuss what that entails

No sheep in Palmy mate, aside from the ones visiting this weekend that keep going on about smashing the P on Macgors. It's against the city by-laws to have farm animals. I think there are some out near Feilding though. Palmy is a booze fueled student city, so we couldn't find any this year, had to make other arrangements instead. If you look hard enough, you'll always find a site with the desired weather. But the forecast seems to be getting better all the time. Does anybody remember the last time teams champs was postponed to a different weekend or even cancelled?

Does anybody remember the last time teams champs was postponed to a different weekend or even cancelled? It's been a while since we had to move to the next day for racing, but I don't think the event has ever had to be cancelled. There might have been a couple of times in the late 80s or early 90s when it got moved to a different weekend due to rain, but I'll leave it to the historians to dig through the history and find out

SO I said last week that today was when the forecast would give us a proper indication of what is going to happen on the weekend, and while it won't be terribly sunny, there is no rain forecast. And with temps in the low 20's we aren't going to boil while waiting for the action to start. let's go racing!

Raced the next weekend, and the Waikato fans had spent all their cash celebrating the previous weekend, as they do, and were not there when history was made the following week. Barry B
