Is it weird that a lot of family members are in the same groups? The likes of the two Cheethams and the two Palmers, Dale Robertson and Ashlee Gaskin-Robertson? From what I can tell (from when entries were being added to the Gizzy FB page) it looks like they have just been put in order of when the entries came in... Will make it difficult if some of these people have the same crew and both rock up to the gate for a 3 minute bell!

From an action point of view this could work out really well
Plenty of reason to get the bumpers busy when a family member/significant other/flatmate is in the points hunt

But it is a bit weird though. splitting across groups is the standard way as far as I can remember. I am pretty sure at Superstock NZs and 240s for example all Teams/family were split in the qualifying groups Ie Joblins, Miers, Rees etc and even 89w and 22w (brothers-in-law) don’t seem to often be in the same groups at anything. Ultimately no different though to if they all qualify and end up racing together in the finals. |
