Cool 3 Auckland cars got in, Hayden Hart,Blake Brooks and Gary Lonergan. Shame David Moore had engine dramas and is out of the championship but best of luck to all the drivers tonight,it will be fierce out there.

My biggest surprise is the 208a of Brooks. I've only seen him at 3 meetings (that I can think of) and each of those meetings he was putting in big hits and didn't seem that interested in racing for the flag. Awesome to see he is capable of both! Hope he goes well tonight

Comendators were awesome with grids and points if you had a program. On telling top four or who was up on points going into heat 3 was a figure it out yourself affair. And didn't say provisionally who had qualified. One point said clear top 4 from purple. And left it at that. 95 percent of the way Their. Just don't forget the people without programs. The points thing gets quite messy.

Just as an FYI for anyone who is looking at this... 208A has not qualified. Looks like 68R must have as he is parked on the infield with the other 23 cars

68R is Keith Spanhake - well done Keith! That's a good news story as my understanding is the last time the title was held at Gizzy Keith won the 1 NZ!

When was the last time a P did not qualify in the first 24? Possibly still a chance in the repecharge -I'm not sure what the grid draws are but that's got to be a first!

208a missed out by 1 point. Grids for Repercharge will be based on points from these results i guess. Not sure how they do it thought. Was it 2 reps and top 3 from each rep race go through. so highest non qualifier points is in rep 1, second highest rep 2, third highest rep 1 and so on?

Why 95a qualify ahead of 53v when same points??? Was there a run off?
There will be 6/7 drivers that will feel pretty hard done by when they have scored very good points to just miss out, yet have higher points then other group qualifiers. I know its top 4 in each group and it was stipulated but do we think that one day well see it where top 24 on points, regardless of group positioning, will qualify???

Can someone please help me out? Not being in attendance I've set up a spread sheet based on the groups as printed on the Gisborne web-site. A bit risky, I know. All was well until I seen that 7W (Dimitrios Amos) had qualified. I didn't even have him starting anywhere. Based on my info I suspect that he must have been in the Yellow Group, which means that unless that group had 27 in it I've stuffed up. Can someone please put up a list of competitors that started in Yellow Group, or else point me in the right direction so I can read it for myself. Thanks in advance for any help on this.
