If any stockcar driver is wanting a good hit out Saturday night, get along to Stratford Speedway for their Heritage Shield meeting!

Well there you go, instead of a weekend of racing on the east coast, all the drivers should come and spend a weekend racing on the west coast

My understanding is all team managers were sent a few different dates and they each came back with which weekend they preffered and the majority won. I have seen a couple of drivers complaining about the new dates - mainly becasue it clashes with Speedfest in Huntly. But seriously, nearly every weekend from now until the end of the season they would be clashing with something, and as Speedfest is an invite only event, I think they got the best weekend they could.

After talking to the Huntly reps over half the speedfeast field was in the original entered team lists Seems weird then that the majority of team managers said that weekend would be the best for their teams then. This seems to happen most seasons, events that are postponed due to weather need to find a new date and its a struggle. Sounds like a few drivers have a decision to make.. Hopefully most tracks will have enough guys waiting in the wings to step into these teams if some drivers do decide to go to Speedfest instead.

With the weather looking like it was. Could they of made a call to run mid week or that not enough time. With only gisborne and stratford running in the north island. And startford weather looks touch and go. Shoulda woulda coulda.
