could some one please help with a good starting point for setting a j bar up in saloon / super saloon with the j bar been mounted to the left side of the chassis

start with the lowest point on the diff and the bar fairly level on the chassis end - the whole point of the j bar is to push that right rear tyre into the dirt, if it gets slick move the whole thing upwards. be careful - itt pushes the left rear down but can also lift the front left right up too! {watched it happen on 166H saloon}.
Always use small adjustments and write them all down so you can see what works and what doesnt.

Mount j bar on right side of chassis ( passenger side for left hand drive car) start at middle of pinion ,on diff , angle j bar up hill to chassis to start 15-20 degrees , keep moving up till it becomes too loose ,then move down till your happy ,lock it there and throw away the key!
