A lot of people will still go to this event no matter the cost but they will more likely skip a few other meetings during the season now, so while the promoter may make a good profit on this event it will balance out with less gate takings at other meetings now. Is that good for the sport? I would say not. There are some meetings not worth going too bit like a balancing act either you do ,or you dont ,peoples choice .. People like to see value for there $ dollar ,so its up to the promoter ,or club ,to show the public how the sport attracts the best interest it has to offer .. Generally there is to many meetings which splits the division of competitors especially in the top order ,so attendances are low ,yes it has impact on the sport ..

the PA would be ok {maybe} if they didn't call the results from 2 or 3 races ago while the cars were doing their warmup laps. All I can hear then is V8's screaming {good music to me} but it would be good to be able to write the correct results in the program. It would seem to be more important to get a mexican wave going "because the world is watching" 20th Season on the Mic Like Hornet said official results don't come through until signed off and that is usually 2 or 3 races later. We do call provisional results as the race/ teams battle comes to a finish and sometimes finding a quiet period to do the results is not always possible. The longer you leave it the more they stack up. Take a Pencil and a Pen so you can write the prov result then fill in again in Pen once official as they do differ regularly. Congratulations on a fine career as commentator, 20 years.. One may expect that the running of the show would include specific times for commentators run through of points...is there a manager at such a large meeting that interfaces with track and commentary to ensure a nice flow of info, and smooth running of the meeting..who directs all this?

Due to a previous booking that I had for the past few years I have been unable to attend Teams on the first night but next year I will be there for both and we will do our absolute best to ensure the points and times that they are read out is workable for everyone. Pitside Driver interviews is also an aspect of the event that is vital

That would be great to get some pit driver interviews during the weekend. V8 Supercars commentary team is next level with interviews, segments on fuel tyres brakes etc etc makes for great viewing.

Unforturenity the amount of serects teams are keeping for each other is like tring to get blood out of a stone.

I have respect for any driver that is in a superstock or stockcar team that goes out the pit gate but yes the Glen Eagles will be interesting to follow next season.

Full respect to any driver that teams races..it hurts & it costs. Just saying that Asher & Jayden both always have pace to burn & learnt there trade in Palmy with large numbers & both can really dish it out if need be. The current Glen Eagles squad will benefit hugely by gaining these to guys. It will also help to continue raising the bar for Superstocks in CHCH & the South Island.
