Be early, there is a demo derby that night. The crowds have been great this season but the derbies have attracted huge crowds. Talking to someone who left lower hutt city centre at 6pm last derby night took 20 minutes to get to the Caltex near the track, then 40 mins from the caltex to parked up at the track, and he missed the first 3 races.
If it's a rain out (fingers x'd it won't) it will be run at 3pm Anzac day

This is when I wish I lived in wellington when Te Marua has good fields like this but it is the only reason I would want to live in Wellington lol.

This is when I wish I lived in wellington when Te Marua has good fields like this but it is the only reason I would want to live in Wellington lol. Wow. I'm pretty sure the racing at Wellington is not better than the racing at auckland. It only seems better because of good publicity. And that's the beauty of. You seem to think your getting more value for your money. There are two great stockcar tracks in the north island. Palmy and Rotorua. With every other track having some great meetings. Go sideways is another that's really good at selling meetings in palmy and Ram jam in Welly. Would love to know if crowd figures in meeanee were up or down. Or same. Always feel crowd numbers at speedway represent the amount of time and effort groups of people put in.

Na, I'm pretty sure it ACTUALLY is. 😃 that's the beauty of. You seem to think your getting more value for your money. Yr average 3hr,well run speedway meeting with a feature event or two is generally good value for money. There are two great stockcar tracks in the north island. Palmy and Rotorua. With every other track having some great meetings. Most tracks have classes they do really well. For mine Wanganui is a great Stockcar track and one of the best sidecars tracks around. Huntley is great for midgets, Na j/k, but for mine, of late Welly do supers/stockcars well and things like super salons really well. Go sideways is another that's really good at selling meetings in palmy and Ram jam in Welly. Would love to know if crowd figures in meeanee were up or down. Or same. Always feel crowd numbers at speedway represent the amount of time and effort groups of people put in. Believe me when I say my involvement is tiny these days and others in Welly are doing a sterling job of the promotion of the sport. See ya in church at Te Marua Saturday night

Great nights racing, the one race final for the Welly Superstock champs was won by Dale Robertson and was an awesome race with about 5 or 6 lead changes. Pete Rees won the Tri series overall. Welly Stockcars won by Josh Prentice from Blair Locket.... 3rd went to ummm errr someone else. The racing was awesome and only about 13 cars finished the night.

That seriously was one of the best meetings I've been to in years. Action in contact classes from heat one, enough cars to make the non contact classes interesting and was over nice and early. Wellington is the best track in country at the moment - we will defo make the trip a few more times next season!

Interesting that wellington is getting props. We don't see a whole lot of discussion on Macgors about Temarua.... what have they done differently that has all of a sudden seen them get the qudos?

Temarua runs a good meeting with quick in and out races with little or no delays, the complex is clean, tidy and professional looking as had alot of time and money spent on it with more planned in the off season. The entry fee is not over the top and the track racing surface has been top notch not to mention the racing has been all good cheers.
