The palmy way of qualifying for local champs is absolutely horrible. 2 groups of less than 20 then 15 or 16 cars start a repocharge to find 12 more (and only 8 finish) then heat 1 of the champs comes out with 7 or 8 holes on the grid. Where as they would have been better just having capped it at 36 cars in the first place. IMHO Andrew has done the right thing here It's like the 5hr meeting VS the 3hr meeting, sometimes less is more.

What a cock up. But last year robin phatt 51 cars. 36 startedo heat 1 31 heat 2 and 26 heat 3. Does depend on numbers. Sometimes you would skip the repecharge if you had 38 cars after two heats. Two would be trailered and go into heat 1. Even if it was now 32 cars. With 4 classes. Still a better outcome. And less time. Half the time palmy get it right. Lol

The weather really won this time as it kept a lot of people away. Ministocks were a non event due to the format they were running for that championship as they could not decide a fair winner for it. Superstocks were low on numbers as stated above but it was good to see people like Sam Bartholomew & Marty Cooke show there presence on the night before the normal names came to the fore. Congrats to 41B Jason Long, 46B Quinn Ryan & 86B Marty Cooke on their podiums. Plus special thanks to 97R/B Pat Westbury (as he is almost a local by the amount of times he has raced here this season)& 64R Jeremy Sinclair? for coming thru and racing as well. Josh Prentice was a class above everyone else as he took the Kuru Cup but kudos to Ben Milne & Brandon Symes on their respective placings. 16B Brett Loveridge was a hindrance to some all night as well as Bryce"Butterbean" Cross also. But the Highlight of the Night was Regan O'Brien jumping his superstock in the ramp derby That was Gold!!!!
