Speedfest has officially been cancelled. Bugger! Wow what a shock! 🤪 At least they did it early so at least travellers from South Island and lower North Island didn't waste time and money heading up! Ha! Whilst I agree that the likelihood of this event occurring this weekend was always slim, everyone has access to weather forecasts. If these competitors felt it was too great of a risk to travel up due to weather concerns then they wouldn't. It's simple really.

Wrong from where i sit and sat many times! If entered for an event, regardless of my own gut feeling, weather forecast, I would make every effort to keep to that commitment and keep on truckin' on until such time as the promotion advised otherwise!
Many times I've felt, "Hey, this isn't going to happen!" and found the weather down the line, over the hill, has cleared and it's all go. Many times the opposite!

What are the Chances of running Speedfest on 19th and running it as a bit of a memorial meeting as well.
