I suspect because fireworks display end of the night, as same price for final meeting of the season as well.

I do feel sorry for the genuine speedway fan that simply cant stretch his or her budget to accommodate the higher entry fee at the gate . But do understand the rising costs from the Promoters to insure costs are met to the satisfaction of all involved . Maybe a compromising deal could be struck with those involved so we dont loose the sight of such loyal fans that patronize the sport year after year in the stands or terraces . Senior citizens with the gold card yes we do often pay less ,but we deserve it dont we ??

It's swings and roundabouts with the entry fees this season.
Opening night and the demo derby go into the new "premier" meeting category and rolling thunder moves to the international category. On the flipside the World Midget 30 lapper and King of the Springs 40 lapper are now standard meetings. $26 a head is pretty cheap to see Larson, Bell, Sunshine and the other internationals going at it.

Well it's a good job Percy is posting the results as the commentary team cant be bothered. Why cant they just get the basics right?

well the fireworks display was an improvement on previous. Wasn't wet (just a few drops on way to car) just cold wind. Track wasn't too bad, little dust, just holes in middle of corners.

Does anyone know if Jonathan Allard has retired, I didn't see his name listed in the programme as a competitor for this season. The Sprintcar division wont be the same without the King of California.

The Seamount team didn’t fare too well. Taylor Clarke bent his car and Moses lost a plug lead in the feature. Moses looked better than last year but no match for Pickens or even Shayne Alach for that matter. Having said that it is early days and I am looking forward to how the season unfolds.
