Holy nuts Kofoid may be the best driver I’ve seen !! Started 6, won by 3/4 of a lap and got a standing ovation from the crowd Stunning, the guy must be alien I was only there for Friday night, but as above very impressed by young Buddy Kofoid - he was clean and clinical, making his car dance through any obstacles/challenges the track presented. He was especially good at getting past people early spearing down the inside into turn 1 or 3, and then giving a burst of throttle to get a few more meters ahead so the rival couldn't rough him up in the corner. Truly mesmerising, and put the locals - many of whom were pretty inconsistent - in the shade..

Yeah Luke got out of his car hopped up on the wall and walked down to where Jamie Larsens car was lying on its side he was saying something to him. And iam sure he wasn't asking for exchange of phone numbers.

The pass wasn't on. Everyone makes mistakes but I hope Larsen apologised as that was never gonna work

Enjoyed another fantastic weekend at Ruapuna for the Gold Cup. That young American can sure pedal a sprint car and his drive in his last heat race on Saturday was astounding, his ability to split cars and pass through the middle of a group of back markers was amazing. Michael Pickens is going to have to be at his best to beat this kid at the national title next weekend.Luke Keegan was the pick of the locals over the weekend and the best of the younger brigade for me was Caleb Baughan ,hard charger for the feature race would have to go to Rodney Wood. As always the commentary team of AJ, Warrick and Andy were fantastic to listen to and its was good to see Allan Daly the president of the speedway club walking around the stadium and mixing with fans, maybe Greg Mosen from the Springs could take a leaf out of Allan's book and do the same.

The pass wasn't on. Everyone makes mistakes but I hope Larsen apologised as that was never gonna work i have looked at this a number of times and i felt that luke misjudged and should of gone back inside of larsen, he put himself in the position he was going to get squashed. i do not particularly like larson from my minisprint days and he was always going to go to the wall
