Enjoyed the night at the best speedway in the controversy gossip column of the year award for commentators... Pickens showed his class again ,well done ,jamie Macdonald did well hitting the jack and bowling the field over with a display of donuts. Smaller crowd but certainly was money well spent even for pensioners ....

You shouldn't mention bowling in a WS thread. How about some full results, grids, lap times etc.?

Interesting to see the change of focus from some competitors, with expectations of not needing to bother qualifying.
The Dahm brothers in the sprintcars looked like they were taking the piss in the heat races. Perhaps kharma played a role in neither of them finishing the feature. π€πππ

The Dahm tactics were interesting. With no qualifications required it rendered Sprintcar heat racing into glorified hot laps sessions and they certainly took that literally! It largely eliminated chances of obtaining damage but the flipside was two drivers starting in the feature having not been engaged in "race mode" earlier in the evening. I can see the logic in doing it but it wasn't without it's downside. Crowd was very good for a non-international night. Race coverage was on the Springs Facebook page all night www.facebook.com/SpringsSpeedway/Timing is available via Speedhive speedhive.mylaps.com/Events/1627199
