Have seen the same message, hasn’t come directly from Woodford Glen as yet but the info comes from a page called palmy superstock teams which would have gotten the info from some of the north island guys that the decision has been made for
I’m still not a fan at all of postponing due to a weather forecast but understand it a bit more when half the field have to get on a boat

its unfortunate. but probably the best call. hardly fair on north island drivers to travel all that way just to be rained off

If you look on the Woodford Glen calendar the 15th and 16th have been wiped off and the 5th and 6th of April have been added

cant imagine enjoying a speedway meeting in christchurch tonight. a night to stay home with your friends and whanau..... Altho we knew it was canned well in advance, we had flights & accommodation, rental cars etc booked, so still came down for a weekend away. We thought measles was going to be the talking point of the weekend. How wrong we were. Flight landed just as today's events were unfolding. As woodart says I'd like to think it would have been canned after this tragedy.

My thoughts on aviation security are prob not allowed on here, surfice to say they spend a sh!t load of money on the illusion of safety. I'm confident we'll get home OK tho.

Unbelievable day yesterday , never thought I’d see anything like that
If we take that out of the equation, the weather yesterday would have allowed last night to go ahead, I’m sure the track team could have for the track sorted in the afternoon and as I sit here this morning the weather looks ok too and nothing like forecast
I understand why they made the decision with half the field having to cross the water but I still don’t like at all that decisions are being made based on weather forecasts that are the best of times very unreliable.

I Support the decision. Better to make it early than dither up till the last minute. This early decision reflects why so many keep coming back Club and promotion on point at understanding competitor challenges and tensions. And giving themselves best chance of having big crowd, which is important for long term viability of the event.
