With four Wanganui Warriors (Mooney, Smith, Duncan and Wise) and four Kihikihi Kings (Wade, Roigard, Sneddon and Hole) in the field at Oceanview on Saturday night, will there be any impromptu teams racing? No.

Would be interesting to know what is enticing all these drivers to register K as only 5 will make the team for Palmy. Is it the freedom to float not having to race at their current track every fortnight? Certainly seems to be a trend of drivers contracting to tracks not necessarily close to there homes.

To be Honest how many of the named drivers/cars have you seen on track with a K beside their number so far? The drivers are contracting to KK for next season. This is why they are not running K on their cars atm. because atm they are registered to their current tracks. Is there only going to be one team from KK 4zfed? More driver announcements to come for the Kings. Watch their FB page for more info.

Every year more and more drivers are trying to get deals with clubs where they can travel freely and not honour the contractual obligation to race at home. Most of the time they want to chase championships and big fields and not get dragged home to race a club night with 6 cars. If kihikihi is offering such a deal to these drivers then so be it, personally I’d prefer seeing k cars scattered around the country side representing the club then see them run at kihikihi for nothing in small fields. Maybe this is the future of the sport?

Maybe this is the future of the sport? Register a number through a national class - leave it up to the promoters of each individual track to run and attract drivers (local or not) for each meeting. I like it

Palmy had 2 Panther teams this year, one that had a teams race against Hawkes Bay that included Shane Mellsop and Ron Tye who won the race, and then the team that raced at Palmy teams champs.

Yeah thats different to what im saying. Mellsop ended up not racing at Palmy Teams after being a Panther v Hawkeyes. What im asking aws is..is he hinting there is the possibility Kihikihi could enter 2 x Teams for the Palmy Teams champs?

The cars announced as registered to KK track are registering to the track for the next season. We have more drivers to announce in the coming weeks. The best way for you guys to get the most accurate information is to follow the Kings Superstock Team FB page. We are not pulling the wool over your eyes. Your question was answered fully Beachboy. They are registering to KK in the off season.
