i see this is down for just one night. is that usual ? you would think being a month out from NZs there would be large numbers looking for good track time. if they get 50 - 60 or more then the winner is going to have to have a lot of luck in one night.

The Global Challenge is a dead rubber. It's nothing more than a palmy club night to be honest that was trying to be a world 240's type meeting. Make the GP a 2 night stand alone meeting rather than using it to try and pump up the failed global challenge.

I like the idea of it being a 1 nighter. Too many meetings that are two nighters could easily be one nighters. Off the topic of Superstocks but in the Super Saloons, Sprintcars etc that run the one race final (A Main) format should always be over one night. This whole deal of having to do 6 or 7 heats over two nights to get a grid position in an a main is just a nonsense IMHO

Martian don't think you are correct there many of the NZ TITLES THAT I ATTENDED where 2 nighters in the 80s 90s Clubs/tracks were only allowed to run one-day NZ titles until I think the 1984/85 season, when two-nights became allowable. Barry B
