Quietly getting excited for these events Are there many from the North Island considering aiming down? And curious if the NZ titles has motivated some to come out of retirement and have a crack. Both tracks put on a great show, and the NZGP in Greymouth a few years back was heaps of fun. In fact I seem to remember the new 1nz crowned at Woodford Glen the previous week didn’t make it Brough qualifying ? Seem to think there was a video somewhere of it too - was a fun week

Sounds like a good plan! Tanks for the suggestion Just found a cool runoff from the last nzgp event in Greymouth.
The wall is great and the track is lots of fun - I'm sure there is more footage from the last event : here’s two ultra talented drivers who want on too bigger things including the ultimate honour representing your club at teams racing at Palmerston North no less
It's a great chance to get 4 nights racing with the two major meetings back to back - makes it a really worth while trip for drivers and crews to see a very cool part of the country side

Keightley Teece best chance imo Definitely don’t believe that - every year is a new year and you don’t have to do it on home soil. Look at Craig Boote, Dale Ewers, and Brendan Higgans. Also see Peter Ross getting 5 NZ at Waikaraka Park a few years back, and Huggies getting 4 NZ last year at Baypark. Not to mention, Mt Teece being top Qulifier. It would be great to see both Teeces back out for this years edition! Found another interesting video from the last NZGP in greymouth, where this years NZ’s will be held 5 x NZ champ and pretty much untouchable up till this point

Anyone heard any info on whether there will be ticket pre-sales and/or reserved seating for the NZs?

Thanks for the dates Just found some highlights of the last NZ title held in the South Island at the Glen. As above they will do a great job of Hosting the NZGP this coming season after the NZs at Greymouth Good mix of qualifiers there! Some great footage from cJs Speedway

Anybody have an idea of how many spectators can squeeze in to Greymouth? Depends how close to each other they sit! As many as most tracks in the South Island I would say.

Awesome to hear defending 1nz and some visitors from the far North are coming down.
One of our locals had one of the first Gill and Hartley v6 combos, and if was always a rocket on this track.
Add in Mr Walker has already had a 3rd at the NZGP at the track, you would have to say he’s looking well prepped for defending the title here
Found this little video of the track, and includes some footage from the Rees tour that made it too the West Coast
I think I recall the Rees tour team saying it was the best after match off the tour? No unusual feedback

Haha
That it can be that it can be.
Awesome to see the HB stockcar drivers fund raising for the South Island Tour
Those girls and guys know how to skid and have fun, and will have a ball on the big banked track in Greymouth
Wonder how many are coming down from the Naki? I expect with such a dominant group in the finals at Baypark they will get a few keen for the trip to the South Islands version of the West Coast 👍🏻
