Just an observation Rebecca Barr pulled out of Aotearoa Ladies Crown but still in 240's. I'm guessing she's focusing just on the superstocks. Anyone in the know?

Just checked out the updated list and if I count correctly there's 110 entries (including the 5 Brits). Yes - has to be the next must view on the calendar. Am I right in assuming that Bobby Griffin has the number 166 so will he be driving the Hampton Tri Rail that everybody else has driven over the last few years (Collingwood, Young Dylan, Frankie and Nik Fowler). Must be the hottest seat in a super stock ever and none of them have done anything with a supposedly big dollar car. Bobby driving 66s same as last year

am i alone in wishing that with rotorua hosting the n.z superstock champs next year baypark get the world 240s. bigger track. more cars. more seating and even very close to rotorua. lots of down sides two. but give the springs promotion the chance to host a big superstock meeting. i do like this idea. but has baypark improved enough for it to be a success. be unique having 32 or 36 car finals field.

Gary lonergan.....that guy must be 70. Or us it Gary jnr? Great list. What's the pre qualified all about? Defending champ is an automatic qualifier Winner of Superstocks In Paradise (Tier 2) is also Adds to the show and helps differentiate this comp to every other It makes in the more important Tier 2 even on the annual speedway caendar. Automatic qualfier into the following season's championship is an even bigger carrot than normal, with the W240's entry sometimes bigger than the NZ's, but always with less spots up for grabs. I think you probably are just about alone in thinking this. Yes, a top quality finals field of 36 cars would be amazing, however you'd only get my vote if the entire Rotorua administration team (from the backroom team to the promotion team, and everybody in between) was ferried across to BP to run the event, and BP had no involvement other than leasing out the venue. Another plus would be being able to have somethnig like Midgets and/or Super Saloons on the support program. Rotorua is a great venue nowadays, maybe not quite as flash as BP granted, however the reason that the W240's is so great is the people running the event, not the facility itself. Barry B

Graeme is wrong tho, well kind of, it would more like Ronald McDonald taking a dump on the KFC chicken before selling it.

Rotorua knocks Bay Park for 6. Its the same as other sports stadiums that are duel purpose just ain't the same as purpose built ones eg suncorp. Our multi purpose speedway tracks palmy and bay park used for rugby also just don't have the same feel to them as a genuine speedway track like rotorua.

Oh my frikken God, here we go again, for the umpteenth time, the world 240s is Rotorua's meeting. Not an SNZ championship...anyone who wants a meeting like the world 240s is welcome to create such an event, but just as Teams Nats are Aucklands and Palmy Teams is Palmy's, so is the 240s meeting to Rotorua.
