Can't see Ron making the Panthers, they need 5 reliable cars. Would be surprised if the team isn't the same as last year Whats unreliable about Rons car , the only reason his car stops is because he has put in a good hit and eliminated one of the opposition. Would rather see him in there ahead of some they have picked in recent times. Always gives 100% |

Scrappers will be the same for teams champs. As for panthers I think bengston should of retired after they won couple years ago he wasn't great last year. I thought for them Joblin was the standout on the Friday night so he needs to be included instead of bengston and Miers comes in. Barr still couple of years away being in the panthers in my opinion.

Interested to know what his top performances are....? What years has his team won the Teams Champs ? Has he been the stand out driver over the 2 nights ? What individual titles has he won ? Dont get me wrong, I like seeing him out there but he has a long way to go to be the legend your making him !!! Fact is, some cars/drivers can take the hits and keep going at 100%... Even in the final at Huntly in November the tank spent most of it's time on the infield. The rest will stay the same. Really? My personal opinion after that race against the Mustangs was that 33s Sharpe had cemented his place. He did a great blocking job on Mellsop who was the Mustangs lead car. I also remember leaving the Huntly Teams Event thinking he was a standout out of all of the 'newbies'. |

If Ron Tye or Rebecca Bar don't get in the Panthers for teams champs because they have to take Hemi if they want Dare then I hope they tell the Panthers to stick it. Whereabouts do you think  Dark side of the moon. But really I think the Palmy club need to tell Hemi no more black mail,. if you won't let us have Dare race in the Panthers or Mustangs without having to take you as well then we don't want the Red Wakas at all. |

Its not all about what he has won. His commitment to teams racing is outstanding and never backs off in a teams race . If hes not in a Palmy team he will put his hand up for another. Ron has been around for many moons and is very consistent and shows what stockcars and superstocks were intended to do . Hes a legend in my eyes and for you to belittle the man is just plain rude . |

I can’t even remember which Team Ron was in at the Auckland Teams a few years ago - think it was V.
But he was the runner and won the race. Was strange to see him in that role but was cool to see the 599 with the checkered flag!

pretty sure he was part of the pumas who took a 3 peat in the stockcar teams new zealand title and the peter barry back to back teams. lead the all stars to victoey over the panthers as well. in a semi final at auckland team nats. seems to be ledgend status to me? or it doesnt count because it was a stockcar?
