very unlucky for 98b was running 2nd and got moved on a red to 4th. didnt see why. but boy that car was hauling. there may not not be many hb supers but boy do they have a good group of 6 now that can be up in the pointy end at any championship. chuck in 84b and 52b and got a great team to chose from. wasnt all that long ago it was every man for himself. boy the culture in hawkes bay supers has changed along way throughout last decade. and boy the divides between palmy are showing.

Who won the teams race Pumas v Young Guns ?? The Palmerston North Pumas stockcar team went the same way as their superstock team-mates when they were well beaten by the Wellington Young Guns for the second time this season. After shocking the Young Guns in the national teams' semifinal last season, the Pumas' confidence might be waning. From the article above.

Hawkes Bay have come a long way and thats without the deserters , They are starting to tower above other tracks in the Superstock ranks. Should be a fairly strong Hawkeyes team this year if they can all race as a unit as they currently are . Cmon the Bay ....

No Palmy cars on the podium. Still running as individuals rather than helping club mates keep the trophy in theabinet? Why would you Block on a club night?

Cos regardless if a club night or NZ champs if there is something up for grabs you run as a team to make sure one of your own take the spoils. I am not sure if you are tongue in cheek re the club night thing, but it doesn't matter for me. Something the Palmy does is run as individuals. There has been many times that Palmy has had 50% of the final grid any still failed to turn that into a result, due to those out of the points still turning fast laps without trying to take out non P cars. The only one outside of this would be Andy McCabe that has helped heaps but got nothing back when in the hunt. I would like to see him go back to the B. So glad there is not the Palmy domination that there has been in the past. Bring on the teams

Amazing what happens when you build a team with the specific intent of winning Teams Champs, and then they go and do it, twice. Long, Tarrant, Ryan and Butcher race as a pack now, and they make up a pretty formidable pack!

Thats so cool, now can you get them into a uniform shell and kick start the old time practice of having Syndicates in stockcar racing. Jesters et al.
