There's also talk of a cricket game in Napier on Monday, If that's the case then the first aid provider (St John's) may well have not been available. That's before you consider securing company, catered etc who maybe committed to the 12 ppl who will go to the cricket. P.S cricket sucks

But you have to leave the stadium and re-enter between qualifying and the finals. Barry B Do they really have to exit and re-enter? Yes as there is 2 days of sold out tickets Qualifying then exit all from stadium then finals nights tickets to re enter

There's also talk of a cricket game in Napier on Monday,so no accommodation available on Monday night for drivers/crews/fans. Hats off to all involved they have tried there very best.. I believe it was a case of attempt double Meeting tomorrow or a complete new Meeting in April? Every driver is in the same boat tomorrow... I don't believe everyone is in the same boat, the guys with the most spare parts are in a completely different boat tomorrow. 1,2,3 g or k tomorrow is my guess. I just know that from what I have seen before (stratford for 1 instance) this is bloody dangerous, there were guys wandering around the pits looking drunk and had only just not long got out of their cars.few missed concusions missed that day for sure.

It would appear not, with some of the reasons known to us but there may have been other reasons the organisers know of that we don't. Welcome back to 1984!! Barry B

Why are we out here comparing teams to an NZ individual title? Where there's the possibility of 1 heat from each of the 2 events where things may kick off, compared to someone trying to blow you to bits for 5 races. I'd be a lot happier to do 6 or 7 individual races in a day than 4 or 5 teams races that's for darn sure....

It would appear since the Kihikihi title meeting being granted a NZ Super Stock Title Meeting is like having an Albatross hung round your neck. Luck in all directions just evades you. Meeanee has been so open on the effort they have put in to make this meeting so successful and memorable but it would appear mother nature didn't attend any of their committee meetings While spectators may feel they have got a raw deal, Monday is a working day not a Public Holiday, crew, drivers, club volunteers etc all hold day jobs to pay for the sport. It would appear another sporting attraction in town has reduced options. On Sunday may the weather Gods after attending Church be in a better frame of mind and today a champion decided. Having seen the club room on Kokpit Media, that gives some indication the effort and dedication they have gone too to make this meeting memorable.

If you have not already made the start to get out to Meeanee Speedway (public gates are already open) then I suggest you give serious consideration to doing so as the traffic is currently very heavy in the Meeanee area and is travelling rather slowly. Meeanee and Willowbank Roads sees traffic moving rather slowly and that's before you even get to Sandy Road where the track is sited. Perhaps if you are coming from Hastings then you might like to consider coming through Clive and Awatoto (have not checked for traffic that way). Hopefully there is a man on points duty at the intersection of Awatoto and Brookfields Roads to allow you to get through freely without being forever blocked at the Stop Sign at the end of Awatoto Road. Anyway good luck!
