I also have this pic im unsure if it is an MG V8 or if it was the Serria Cosworth somebody out there may know its identity

Nissan pocket rocket ex Rob Gold from ChCh in the hands of Blenheim driver in 22e....?...He had a moustache......his name is???........

I thought it was him but the memory was a bit gone,,When this showed up at Greymouth i fell in love with it,, I just LOVE small cars with BIG motors--Maybe thats why i build road cars the same "big motor small body" NICE @ QUICK

There was a group of guys over in ES with escorts etc and they all got on and gave the V8s a hard time even on Blenheims long straights!!!

Did I read somewhere that Paddy North once owned an MGBGTV8 Saloon car at one stage?

Na Paddy was a rotary man back then. He had several rx3's & rx7's. When he running rx7 production & the saloons were short of numbers, he cut the guards out and fitted some old hoosiers & made the step up.

Found this old thread and here's a bit of an update on the ex Bill Barron 7s car. Car last ran about 2021 at Harrisville and was purchased by me earlier this year. It still has the coil over suspension system Bill ran with but is fitted with a slightly worked Rover 3.5 motor Rover p4 gearbox and some sort of Mazda diff now. Am intending to run it for a little while as is but have a Halibrand  quick change to go back in it as well as the two speed Burt box that Bill had in it. Have also managed to acquire the body moulds that he still had and am building up a 5litre motor for it. Have tracked down the last motor Bill ran in it but don]t think the owner wants to part with it. Photos are of when i picked it up. Also does anyone have photos of when Bill raced it? only have ones of when Wayne Korff built and ran it and latter people who ran it.Thanks, Warren

Hi, I just purchased this car and would love any history on it, photos etc. I purchased the car in Paeroa and brought it back to the far north. I will be running it in B grade and my home track is Taipa.
