Apologies for the picture quality, it's a photo of a photo which was wrapped in plastic which couldn't be removed without wrecking the photo. There must be more pics out there after 40 years of motorsport. Please post them if you've got them. Thanks.

Trash or Treasure ?? A couple of years ago Bombsaway Cars & Scrap got a call from a family in Maxwells Line Palmerston North who had some old cars and parts they wanted to sell for scrap. Circumstances at the time meant we were about a week late in getting there and when we did we found out it was the place where a lot of Stockcars were built including Graeme Stretch's cars. Another scrap company had already removed a lot of cars and 2 skip bins full of motors, mainly flathead V8's but we did manage to rescue a complete Lincoln V12 motor, and I got a lot of hub caps Nash, Chev, Plymouth etc. and other bits too good to go to scrap. True story ~ ask Purvey or Graeme Ward, they knew the place. So it was with interest recently when my mate got a call from a lady who said she was having a clean up of her ex-husbands stuff and she had some aluminium car parts with writing on them that she wanted to get rid of. She'd already had a quote from a scrap dealer over the phone for $1.50 per kilo. She knew aluminium was worth more than tin. When asked what the writing was she said "Journey" so he thought maybe "Dodge Journey" and it might be worth a look.. Turned out to be "Gurney" not "Journey"... ...they aren't Jak Jak's old heads but it does make you wonder whats still out there under a workbench somewhere aye? These old heads will be on a classic racer soon enough. upload a pictureimage upload no adsupload image online freeupload images freetake a screenshotscreenshot on pc
