Waikaraka Park 21st Jan 4 stockcars. . . . . . . . down to 2 for the feature 5 saloons 2 modifieds. . . . . . 1 doing donuts 19 odd ministocks. . . . . . . .good on you guys and girls! 5 Historic stockcars . . . . . . . racing unlicensed, Once again another shot at SNZ by the ASSCC committee and promotions. 15 or so Historic TQ's and midgets . . . . . .Licensed?, not sure. Kiwikids Atv's . . . . . . . . . surely over the decible limit? Solo bikes on the "bull ring" Topnotch commentry team, its a big ask to sell a 2 car stockcar feature to the punters A counted 77 people on the bank and in the stand, not sure how many in pits. All this for the normal $15 entry fee, I felt I was tucked, How did the others feel? . . . . . . .and should the club take a pounding just so the overseas riders can enter a championship that no one is really interested in watching anyway, solos have their following but I think it is at Rosebank Road on a sunday.

The historic stockcars never race, they have spirited demonstrations. Tonight they only led the stockcars on the parade laps.
I don't give a rats about the ASSCC after tonight, but please don't make trouble for the historic club who were invited to run by the promotion and then had to pay $15 to get in for the privelege of only chugging around under parade conditions. The drivers are liscensed and scrutineered by the historic club under their rules, SNZ do nothing but try and take money.

The question why bother springs to mind. I wonder if a night like this does more damage than good to the sport.

I didn't go ;D ;D but i felt tucked, $15.00 seem cheap to have missed your removal for that fine Establishment Jamo, I am disappointed to hear the Historic stockcars / TQ and Midgets were invited by a club and we all know theres lot of effort to get to the track on a week day, only to be told that they cant race because of incompetence of a uneducated promoter, COME ON these guys put on a great show at Huntley few weeks ago we wouldnt want to loose them,

Since Waikaraka Parks Sunday Club days seem to get a higher number of competitors and crowd, Does this now mean a reversal on the gate prices. Premier Meetings $5 Sunday Club Days $15 One would have to wonder? ? But then again I too like chequebook would have paid $15 to watch Abes chuck out Jamo..........

We all know the my sky was for him the year before it was 2 tickets to the teams champs Poor man you must be so traumatised from your ejection lol Surely you must have got appearance money for your somewhat brief appearance, so hopefully you came out better off in pocket. what I want to know is as you left did they announce "Jamo 91 has left the building" How exciting!! 2 stockcars for the main feature race

To be honest I went with an open mind, both eyes open and enjoyed the meeting. How often do you get a chance to see bikes, trikes (side cars) and quads at the same meeting. Vintage stock cars, vintage midgets and vintage 3/4 midgets. A few salons, mods and std stocks getting mid week practice. and kiwi kids and mini stocks having good mid week races. Got to talk to alot of people who were also enjoying there night out.
$15.00 to get in, $4.50 for the program, $4.50 for large flat white, $20.00 on mini stock raffle tickets and $17.00 on drive through dinner on the way home, well worth it in my books (wife keeps telling me I gotta get out more often during the week). Any ways thanks Asscc most enjoyable night. (remember keep both eyes open). Rating for what the meeting was 7/10...

I contemplated suggesting that we go until I saw that it was $15.00 admission to a meeting that I felt at the time was likely to be tame.
Boy was I wrong. It doesn't sound like it was tame. This sounds like it was comical.
Even then I expected a better turnout than that! 2 mods, and one of them was an H? 4 stocks? Dear oh dear oh dear.
In saying that, I would have found more humour and entertainment in this meeting than I would out of most American sit-coms, but certainly not $15 worth.

Acorn is a man easily pleased and has maybe forgotten what you used to get for 15 bucks at the park. It's great to see you brought a program, I would be sure Abrapromoterhams can do you a smoking deal on a few more copies, seeing as he printed 300 copies for a crowd of seventy seven ;D ;D ;D

To be fair I really don't rate this meeting at all and is probably the biggest reason I never attended.
By the sounds of the crowd size they never rated it either.......
I must admit to being surprised that the ASSCC even ran this meeting at all. Last Year when the idea of running International Solo's came up in Committee, Irvine explained how the Solo promotion lost him money under private promotion.
Wonder whats changed now............

Why not ask the promoter , after that call the treasurer and ask him how much he banked today after last nights blunder, just when the punters start to lay off the idiot that calls himself the promoter he dishes up a meeting like this. I dont know what their agenda is, but I dont believe you could destroy the place quicker on purpose than what that clown seems to be doing accidentally, but then while Abraham's incompetence stands out, he does all this under the watchful gaze of the committee.

Well it wasn't a Irvine promotion. It was a club promotion!!! ran by a hippy if they lost money frank wouldn't care, As for the committee frank walks out on them most of the time, He made claims on Sat nite to have made $100,000.00 from driffing, dean longegan events, non speedway events already this season. surly the club has a little of that put away for a rainy night, "sorry no rain they used that excuse already" love always CB
