Hey Mike mate..
Ill try do a rundown on a few drivers.
55r Frankie, had some bad luck, taken out in heat one then also heat 2 same thing, Frankie will be fired up for teams now after that run... Just some bad luck on this night for FWJ
23h Lala was extremely fast and looking good, however caught onto some bad luck, same case for 135r Scotty Hewson.
1 & 3nz had bad luck getting caught in incidents... Hurricane, working very hard trying to take out Joblin and succeded, driving him into the wall.
77p Chucky had a good run in heat one, but again, got caught in some crashes ending any hopes.
31b Andy McCabe, was the unlucky man for the night being spun last lap last race, when looking good for 1st or 2nd overall.
390uk Stu Smith Jr, worked hard and was giving the Waka a great run in heat three and took the win last corner after bunting Hemi wide
23v Scott Duncan impressed. Obviously not in the running, but drove his heart out with his foot down and alot of HP behind him... Kept some fast drivers at bay for awhile.
57p Dave Tarrant also impressed with some fast racing, best i've seen him go.
Great night

Sounds like it was a great meeting. Congrates to Shane Penn on the win at 248's....and how about Peter Rees, 2nd, and Stu Smith 3rd. Awesome results. ;D KEV SMITH - 3RD - NO RELATION TO STU SMITH 390 GB - WHO WILL ALSO BE RACING AS PART OF THE BRITISH LIONS AND ALSO DID THE AWESOME WALL OF DEATH LAST YEAR AS PART OF THE MUSTANGS TEAM!

Excellent to read that Kev Smith is starting to get some resuts in his swoopy car - he's a credit to the sport.
Marcia - any truth in the rumours that Kev will be in the Mustangs, racing AGAINST the Mother Country?

No truth what-so-ever!
He has been asked to be part of the Mustangs, and a couple of the mustangs team members and spouses are doing their utmost to persuade him - but he keeps declining the invitation! ;D

how much fun was it watching stockcar 99p last night, took either 17 or 18p to the wall, then reversed back along the wall to hit him again! ;D
Good fun watching the street stocks too!

I suspect it was probably UK F1 driver Peter Falding who drove it last night, as he did most of the time in Rotorua as well....

Yep Malcolm's fine, water hose came off in heats 2 and 3, Campbell McManaway stoked to get 4th, after having dnf's in qualifying heats in the last few meetings, showed he is right up there when bugs spray works, same for shane penn who was dialled in all night, now most turn towards teams racing in two weeks.
