This car was built by Rosco and Stretch and driven by Rosco about 6 or 7 years ago at waikaraka, very well built little car. But does anyone know what happened to it? Last I heard it went to Rotorua, did a few meetings with same driver, but havent seen or heard of it since.

I assume this is the one , I last saw it in 2000 . My wife met up with Ross McIntyre's(sp) wife a year or two ago here in Rotorua . Don't think I saw the car again after the fire .

I didn't think the fire was so bad but I was sitting a long way from it . Had a business card for Ross but not sure what my chances are of finding it are .

This photo is either 2002 or 2003, I think the first few times the car ran there were a few issues with the rear bodywork catching fire, and I thought the car was in undercoat matt black or grey at that stage. By the time this photo was taken the car was going good and winning races at Waikaraka when it didn't have to pass too many cars, and it always ran well at KK. Will ask Stretch next time I see him what happened to it, I am sure though that it did get sold down in the Waikato or Rotorua.

Ross took the car to Rotorua when he moved there. In may 2007 Ross did some work for me on my modified, he had just sold the car so i guess the pic of it as 37a is the now owner.
Ross and my uncle Trev (Stretch) also built an MR2 and was run as 87A.

I think the Pontiac was running a V6 Holden, can anybody confirm that? Here is a photo of the MR2.

I didn't think the fire was so bad but I was sitting a long way from it . Had a business card for Ross but not sure what my chances are of finding it are . I was talking to Rosco a couple of weeks back and he was telling me about the fire, he said he was driving around the track thinking too himself where is all that smoke from, looks like someone blew their motor up or someones car's on fire....lol. It wasnt untill the flag guys waved him down before he realised it was his car on fire!!! CLASSIC. If you want to get hold of Rosco he is advertising a buick V6 motor in the For Sale Adds, his contact number is there. I think the V6 he is selling is the original motor out of the pontiac, it has some flash harry bits in it too. Hope this helps. Marmite

sorry to get off topic but whos rx7 is that in the photo going round the outside No idea, but here is a better photo. Thats 19H Mark Jones. Before he had it it was the 27R/H of Ken Sines. Mark sold it to 95A Kevin Head who still occasionally runs it, mostly at the Northern black tracks.
