Hey guys, i have a personalised plate and got one made up from the local sign writers to fit in the front spoiler properly, make it look nicer.
Low and behold i got up one morning, my car parked on the road at the front of my house and a fine from the coppers for $200.00, for not having an approved LTSA plate on my car.
I'm going to court to suss this out. If there's any lawyers that can give me some hints on what to do and what to say that would be appreciated.

i lost my plate of the front of my 4*4 in some mud hole somewhere,been usin a home made one for couple years now no probs(just funny looks),
what about all those sports cars that have just stickers as numberplates ?ie;mx5's. ive seen plenty of them without "legal"front plates

Exactly mate! What about those ones, all illegal and liable to a $200 fine, all for wanting your car to look good.
Sounds like revenue gathering if you ask me! I wasn't trying to do anything dishonest, just wanted to look better. if i could work out how to post photos on here i'd show you the difference.

it is iilegal to not have a ltsa plate but normally a blind eye is turned by the plods but i guess 1 was have a bad day when he saw yours
