Two very even groups..........some rather strange numbers next to a few of the Auckland drivers though. I'm assuming a couple of them are typo's, but maybe they aren't all in their normal rides?

Pickens is driving the 88a Aggressor V8 owned by Simon Longdill. Believe this is the car he will drive at Chili Bowl next month.
Mosens number is down as 19, think this is a typo as he runs 13 now.
This is sure to be one of the best Midget shows, on one of the best Midget tracks that you will see this season. A great field of Midgets which you wont see at the Springs.

As i believe the V8 does not comply to usac midget rules ,therefore can not contest any of there series. CHILLI BOWL IS NOT ONE OF THESE. not a new concept to midgets as MEL KENYON had a very similar Suzuki v8 many years ago.

Brad is driving 19a which is the V8 car they are taking to Chili Bowl. Chili Bowl is not a USAC event so they may run it there. As you know many different people run different things at this event ie: Krusman running a bike wheel on inside left front, Sammy with the Square shaped #1 tail tank.
There will be a article on Chili Bowl and the team in Issue #3 of National Speedway Scene.

So that explains #19 and #88 (I'd guessed the latter anyway), I suspect Shayne Alach is just a typo then (as he is running #11)

no typo barry b, alach has been running his registed no 11 all season in preference to nz1 just as barry butterworth did with no 21 many years ago and refusing to run no 1 and ending in court disputing his right to do so with snz and winning the case , must be a bad boy thing ;D

It says 1NZ on the Huntly website, suggesting theirs is the typo. I'm fully aware that he raced the 1 briefly at the end of last season, and the 11 all summer since the first practise session.

just could not resist a dig at snz and you being so observant and all barry you would also have noticed bill clarkson is not an entry in the midget 40 lapper as he is running in the super stocks at huntly,

To dispel any rumors I was never intending to complete at this meeting in a Midget. My schedule is Western Springs, NMCS, NZ Champs and some events in Australia. I also drive for Pat Marx in his Superstock and we will be running at Huntly and Kihikihi this weekend. We will also be running at the World240's on the Friday and the NZ Champs at Kihikihi. My focus is and will be the Midget. My whole Operation is For Sale and it is a complete cleanout of all and any midget stuff that we have.

As I found out quickly my 1200kg saloon needed a little bit of getting use to after 400kg open wheeler. Hope you enjoy yourself and remember Slide Jobs are ok.Just watch for the Tanks."ouch" Weather looks abit damp tomorrow but KKs should be good. Cheers 808R
