Been raining over night - not now
Heavily overcast
Heavy humidity
weather forcast for BOP & Eastcoast is rain clearing this evening. however Coromandal is for "fine with a few showers".

Baypark website has gone from green to yellow with the following statement.
"Light rain at track at 11:15 am with heavier showers in the vicinity"

Id hate to say gentlemen but i would rather it rained tonight and rained itself out than it rain come friday and saturday.
Not to say the the morth islands arent important but id hate for a 2 night event to be postponed as opposed to a 1 night event

It's raining here in Paeroa, still keen to come through and watch some racing....any further updates regarding the weather as Rotorua has been postponed until tomorrow now.

Just got back from BayFair and drove past the stadium.
No rain anywhere in the area. The roads are dry.
I guess if the track surface was too bad they would have postponed it by now (like rotorua).
Still a lot of cloud around, Still very humid.
The darkest cloud is sitting over the Kaimai - Stay There Clouds!

Not far from the stadium myself, and although it's been dark clouds most of the day, there has been no rain and yes, extremely dry roads all round. It's even lighter now than it was a few hours ago, although still extremely overcast - locals here are confident.

Bugger alright, oh well stay home and wait for the next meeting which sounds interesting - Salon Championship ;D
Our next meeting will be the New Zealand Salon Championship on the 1st and 2nd of January.
As posted on the Baypark website.

So basically they don't want to risk the track surface and if they race tomorrow it would be too close to the NZ SALON ( )champs. |
