Last season we had 5 drivers/teams that held a nz number 1,2 or 3 move to be number 1 at the 2008-2009 national champs. Gaskin in Stocks - 3nz become 1nz McClymont in Saloons - 2nz become 1nz Jackson in Mods - 2nz become 1nz Oconnor in TQs - 3nz become 1nz Demanser and Plummer in sudecars - 2nz become 1nz Will we see any 1,2,or 3 nz holders retain a national number this year, or move to number 1nz? What classes? What drivers? Your opinions.................... Shaun Cooke in Minisprints should get a mention also. He was 1nz and retianed nz number with 2nz. Also why is it that some (mainly midgets etc) choose to not run their nz numbers - Allach, Mosen etc? ?

McClymont in the saloons will keep a number this year just might not be the 1 he currently has... Shane McIntyre in the Supers could go 1,2 or 3 ... a big ask to hold 1nz in the super saloons but very possible

Great thread, doesnt count for the past year but Jamie Fox went from either 1nz to 3nz or the other way round few years back, cant remember.
But would be great to get back to back nz title, then you wouldnt have to change your number haha ;D

Maybe run as number 123, then it is just a case of blanking out the un-needed numbers and adding the 'NZ' bit.

I hope Higgy hits 1nz from 3nz

Oooooo, that IS a big call! Mine you, having Superstock 1NZ, 2NZ and 3NZ all from the South Island, it IS going to be tough for any of them to retain their NZ numbers at Kihikihi in a couple of weeks time.

Superstocks None will retain 1,2, and 3 nz.
More so their spots will all go to Nth Islanders.
