Hey Nutz I am glad you put Colin Dyer in the mix and I will add the two Pauls - Cressy and Managh all top blokes , and they are all up there on there night , as has been said it will come down to who reads and handles the track best .And a fast initial lap time will be useful . Cheers 77k

Whoever wins I'm sure it will be someone with a good initial lap time, bit of an uphill battle for anyone that hasn't raced at the track before. I don't think you can go past the big 3 of saloons at the moment 1nz, 48a and 21h although it will be good for the lower north island if one of our guys could snatch a number. The best chances would be 42w, 10w or 24w.

Cheers 77k If any of the "other" Saloon Drivers forget about their empty wallets and their own personal safety plus have all the right spares on hand and more than just Dad in the crew (no offence Dad) Any one of them could walk away with the silver.... with a bit of luck too of course 'cause they certainly have the skillz. Imagine Neil Heads beautiful Mustang on the front page of the BOP Times! Winnnnnah! Imagine if Murray Guy stopped moaning long enough to stay in the front... now that would be an upset!

Despite the huge entry I think the ever consistent top 3 of McClymont, Williams & Twogood (in no particular order) barring incidents will once again be the guys on the podium. However there's always the other top contenders like Corrin, Moffat & the Dalton Team to name a few. Whatever should be a great event even with the American style format. Bring it on!

Listed in numerical order - these drivers may deliver 1NZ,10W,21H,61A
Many of the crews seemed to be caught out by the smooth flat racing surface - "The best race track in NZ if not the world" - as spoken by one of the talkaholics who were posing as announcers.

All things being equal ( no incidents ). It will be between McClymont, Williams & Towgood. I'm picking Williams this time. two out of three ;D

I'd almost put money on it, that the winner will be one of the following 4. Brent McClymont, Steve Williams, Phil Towgood or Terry Corrin. I named the top 3 in my 4 possible winners......... no one else REALLY looked to ever be a possibility
